How Braille Impacted History

For this Honors History Project, the assignment was to create a presentation related to the topic: "Innovation in History, Impact and Change."  I chose Braille as my topic because I believe that Braille impacted the world, changed the way we perceive those with blindness, and changed the lives of millions of blind people.  Braille a way for blind people to share ideas, read the work of others, appreciate literature, and understand more about the world they cannot see.  Braille is a tool to help visually impaired people explore their worlds, physically and mentally.  It helps those with disabilities to find their creativity.  Braille is not just a code, it is a written language: the written language of the blind.
